1999 Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Sport
Ernie Ball has been making high-quality electric guitar and bass strings since 1962. Known for their fine electric instruments and very popular 'Slinky' strings, the company has a nice following from musicians all over.
The Axis is most known for being adopted by Eddie Van Halen and tweaked to create his signature model.
This Axis Sport features everything that made these instruments so desirable through the 80's and 90's. It has a very eyecatching Purple purple finish. A nice piece of maple was used for the neck and fingerboard. DiMarzio made stock humbuckers sound nice and full. A Music Man 2 point tremolo system and locking tuners round out this fine playing instrument.
Cosmetically, this guitar is in good shape for its age. The body shows light scratching throughout, and moderate scratching around where a pickguard would sit. There is a noticeable ding on the back of the body on the lower bout (see photos). There is also some texture to the finish on the backside due to sitting in the case for long periods of time. Comes with Ernie Ball hardshell case.
