1996 Campellone Standard 17 Holo Body Electric
Over the past thirty years, Mark Campellone has carved out a place for himself in guitar history as a master builder of fine archtop guitars, and has become a well-known name, especially among jazz guitarists and those who trade in the vintage guitar market.
He began making them in 1988, so this 1996 model comes from the earlier part of his carreer. This standard has a 17 inch lower bout, 25.5 scale lenth, 1 11/16ths nut, 3.5 inch depth, a wonderful sunburst finish and original hard case.
These are truly wonderful carved top jazz guitars appropriate for professional level players who want to avoid carrying around vintage instruments. The spruce top paired with maple back and sides sounds wonderful both acoustic or through the floating pickup (volume control on the pickguard).
It does have some subtle cosmetic wear, no major dings, dents, repairs or blemishes but a few visual flaws appropriate with its age.
