These instruments are seemingly difficult to find too much information on. I gather that they were made in the 1950's by the United Guitar Corporation in New Jersey but the production occured in L.A. at the same facility where Premier Acoustics were made.
This particular archtop has some serious mojo. It is all laminated birch with spray painted faux flame, 15 inch bout, 25.5 inch scale lenth, 3.75 inch depth and has no case or electronics.
The neck is beefy. After stringing it up with some Gypsy strings the thing has a surprising amount of punch and is a fun little guitar to kick around on. Not the loudest archtop I have ever heard but for its appointments package it is a delightful sounding guitar.
